C M Murray hires 'rising star' lawyer
Specialist law firm adds regulatory and disciplinary advisor
The UK's leading employment and partnership law firm CM Murray has brought on board Andrew Pavlovic, the rising star' lawyer to complement its existing capabilities.
Pavlovic joins as a partner after 11 years as a senior associate at Russell-Cooke, which is highly regarded for its specialist work advising professional regulatory bodies and professionals on disciplinary matters.
Described as a 'rising star' by the Legal 500 directory, his vast experience lies in acting for the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA) in disciplinary proceedings and subsequent appeals.
Clare Murray, the founder and managing partner of Murray, described Pavlovic's specialization as the "perfect complement" to its existing expertise. "His vast regulatory and professional discipline experience is a strong and important strategic addition to the firm," she said.
Instrumental in SRA obtaining injunctions led Pavlovic to play a key role in a high-profile case in 2015. The Law Society of England and Wales had successfully obtained an injunction that prevented a struck-off solicitor from acting as a solicitor or being involved with a law firm without its approval.
Pavlovic's expertise also lies in handling commercial litigation matters, particularly civil fraud cases involving injunctive relief, defamation and reputation management issues, contractual and financial disputes and professional negligence claims.
Founded in 2006, the London-headquartered firm now counts eight partners amid a team of eight lawyers, two senior consultants and seven legal professional staff members.
