AZB & Partners adds Ajay Singh Solanki as Partner in the Labor and Employment Practice
Ajay Singh Solanki who was leading the Labour & Employment Law Practice at Nishith Desai Associates has joined AZB & Partners as Partner in the Labor and Employment Practice.
In a Press Release, Founder and Managing Partner of AZB & partners, Zia Mody said, “Ajay brings with him his very strong experience in all aspects of employment and labor laws. With his induction, we have now further strengthened our ability to offer clients holistic employment related legal solutions and services.”
Ajay was the Co-chair of the Disability Rights Working group of the Diversity & Equality Law Committee of the International Bar Association, and has been appointed as Membership Officer and Diversity & Inclusion Council Member of the Diversity & Equality Law Committee earlier this year.
Ajay has 14 years of experience and provides legal advice on Indian employment law issues including hiring, compensation and benefits, employee transfers including as a result of business transfers (post-merger integration issues), workforce structuring strategies (including engaging contingent workers), secondment arrangements, consultancy arrangements; employment termination / downsizing and reduction-in-force and disciplinary actions; diversity and equality laws in India with focus on law on prevention of sexual harassment at workplace and disability laws.
He also provides advice on applicability and compliance with employment and labour laws especially in light of advanced technology, changing work cultures and evolving work ethics; structuring and documentation of employee stock options, drafting and reviewing documents including employment and consulting contracts, cross-border employment and secondment agreements, separation and release agreements, employee handbooks, company policies, etc.
Ajay also deals with employment litigation matters as also employee fraud and investigations.
Ajay will be working out of the firm’s Mumbai office.
