Aravind Venugopal joins ACKO as a general counsel
He was a partner at Khaitan & Co and advised on large M&A transactions
Aravind Venugopal has joined the insurance company ACKO as a general counsel in Bangalore. He will provide strategic advice to the management team on the expansion plans and the new business initiatives the firm intends to take.
Venugopal will also help build a world-class legal team to enable the firm to navigate the dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.
Ruchi Deepak, the co-founder at ACKO commented, "We are delighted to welcome Venugopal to our leadership team. In his new position, he will lead regulatory affairs. His extensive experience in the insurance sector will help ACKO to achieve effective governance, compliance, anda better understanding of the law of the land."
Having earned his BA. LL.B. from the Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, Venugopal has over 12 years of experience. A seasoned corporate attorney, he specializes in M&A and financial services.
Venugopal started his career at Desai & Diwanji and worked there for nearly four years. Later, he joined Khaitan & Co, working with the firm for almost nine years.
