Aparna Ravi To Join S&R Associates As Retained Partner In Mumbai Office
Aparna Ravi, renowned for her expertise in Banking and Finance, Private Credit, and restructuring, is set to join S&R Associates as a Retained Partner in their Mumbai office effective 1 July 2024.
Aparna brings extensive experience advising global and Indian financial institutions, alternative finance providers, private equity sponsors, and companies on a wide array of financial transactions. Her practice spans acquisition financing, structured finance, venture debt, refinancing, and complex restructuring and insolvency matters. She has also played a pivotal role in advising on mergers, acquisitions, and foreign investment issues across various sectors.
Notably, she served as a member of the Bankruptcy Law Reforms Committee established by the Government of India to draft the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, showcasing her deep involvement in shaping significant legal reforms in the country.
Aparna graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. in Government from Harvard University in 2000 and earned her J.D. cum laude from New York University School of Law in 2003. Her distinguished career includes partnerships at Samvad Partners in Bengaluru and roles at Credit Suisse in London, as well as Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York and London.
S&R Associates, known for its strong presence in India with offices in New Delhi and Mumbai, boasts a team of approximately 140 Lawyers, Including 40 Partners and Counsel.
