Ankit Jaiswal Joins CarDekho Southeast Asia as Head Of Legal And Compliance
He was previously working with ClearTax, India’s leading fintech Saas platform
Corporate counsel Ankit Jaiswal is holding the reins as the head of legal and compliance at CarDekho Southeast Asia, a part of India’s CarDekho Group, the market leader in the auto-tech business.
Jaiswal is a seasoned corporate counsel, specializing in strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, fintech and digital, private equity, joint ventures, capital raising, and initial public offerings. He also navigates corporate commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, litigation, IP, data protection, and ESG matters.
Commenting on his joining, Jaiswal stated, “I look forward to navigating the dynamic legal landscape, driving strategic initiatives, legal compliance, and corporate governance to foster the continued success of the organization in the vibrant Southeast Asian market.”
With expertise in general corporate matters, cross-border transactions, and compliance with regulatory frameworks, he has worked on structuring new businesses in domestic and international jurisdictions. His experience extends to collaborating with tech giants including Amazon and Paytm, providing legal guidance on M&A and investment transactions.
Jaiswal has previously worked at AZB & Partners, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, and L&L Partners. Until recently, he was serving as the head of the legal team at India’s leading fintech Saas platform ClearTax.
Singapore-based CarDekho Southeast Asia is building the region’s largest auto-tech financial services business. It operates under the brand names Carbay, OTO, Carmudi, and Zigwheels in the region with a presence across Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia.
