White & Case represented AMCI Acquisition Corp. II on LanzaTech merger, creating first US carbon capture and transformation firm
White & Case LLP, a global law firm, has provided counsel to AMCI Acquisition Corp. II in the successful conclusion of its business merger with LanzaTech NZ, Inc., valued at around US$2.40 billion.
The newly formed entity has been renamed LanzaTech Global, Inc. and holds the distinction of being the first carbon capture and transformation company to go public in the United States.
LanzaTech is an innovative company that employs cutting-edge technology to transform waste carbon into sustainable fuels, fabrics, packaging, and other useful products. On February 10, 2023, the company's common stock began trading on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol LNZA.
The White & Case team was led by partners Elliott Smith (New York) and Emery Choi (Houston) and included partner Sang I. Ji (New York), and associates Sarah Ross, Adam Berkaw, Hiroyuki Koda, Tom Robinson, Biddy Fraga, Rana Ozer, Adriana Zhan (all in New York) and Rachel Collier (Houston).
