White & Case promotes 6 Lawyers as local Partners in Middle East
White & Case promotes 6 Lawyers as local Partners in Middle East
Rated among the top 10 law firms worldwide in terms of revenue, White & Case says those promoted reflect its diverse and true global nature
The global elite law firm White & Case has announced largescale promotions of lawyers associated with it. It said it has promoted 26 lawyers as local partners and 14 lawyers as counsel.
Among the 26 lawyers promoted to local partners include half a dozen based in Dubai (UAE) and Riyadh (KSA).
In addition to these in-house promotions, the firm hired 11 local partners and 13 counsels from 2022 to date.
According to White & Case Chair Hugh Verrier, the new promotions span across 10 global practices and 19 offices in the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific. This, he said, reflects the diverse and truly global nature of the firm and its enduring commitment to investing in people for the long term.
"These lawyers have broad range of skills, experience and background and are successful in their careers because they combine exceptional ability, dedication to providing clients with highest standard of service and a commitment to playing their role in the continuing progress of our Firm," Hugh Varrier said.
Among the six lawyers promoted to local partners in Riyadh and Dubai include Waad Alkhurini (Global Project Development and Finance Practice) and Manal Al-Musharaf (Global Capital Markets Practice), both based in Riyadh. They were promoted with effect from July 1, 2022.
The four newly promoted local partners based in Dubai are Fraser Galloway, Roger Gaspard, Vasi Papadopoulos and Philip Vavalidis. All of them are involved with Global Merger & Acquisitions Practices. Their promotions came into effect on January 1, 2023.
The firm said that the position of the local partner is offered in select White & Case regions and locations where it is common market practice.
