The transaction was valued at $4.9 billion
In a major move related to the energy industry, the Sharkawy & Sarhan oil and gas team has operated as the Egyptian legal counsel in the sale of the Neptune Energy Group to Eni International BV. The deal included an inter-conditional sale of Neptune Energy’s Norway business to Vår Energi.
An independent global exploration and production company, Neptune Energy has operations across Europe, North Africa, and Asia Pacific.
Sharkawy & Sarhan’s role in the landmark deal underscores its commitment to delivering unparalleled expertise and facilitating strategic partnerships that drive innovation and growth in the sector.
The law firm has been advising Neptune Energy on Egyptian law aspects of its oil and gas upstream business in Egypt for several years. The transaction highlights its role in shaping the region’s energy exploration and production landscape.
