Quinn Emanuel Continues China Expansion With New Beijing Office
Quinn Emanuel Continues China Expansion With New Beijing Office
Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, a leading international white shoe law firm based in Los Angeles, has recently opened its third office in China, located in Beijing.
The move is part of the firm's strategy to expand its presence in the Chinese legal market, following the establishment of its other offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
According to Liu Xiao, the chair of the China practice, the new office will be able to offer legal services to its Chinese clients through collaboration with other branches, leveraging the firm's unmatched litigation resources in the US and other parts of the world.
These resources include expertise in areas such as trade secret litigation, securities class actions, investigations by the Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission, patent litigation in Germany, as well as arbitrations involving countries in Africa and Latin America.
John Quinn, the founder and chairman of the firm, highlighted that the move was in response to the significant growth in their China-related practice over the past decade. "As cross-border disputes and government enforcement actions involving China continue to grow, our firm has seen phenomenal growth in our China-related practice," he said.
Currently, Quinn Emanuel has a team of around 10 lawyers and two partners based in Beijing and Shanghai.
