Pinsent Masons secures license to operate in Saudi Arabia
Pinsent Masons secures license to operate in Saudi Arabia
It is a significant achievement for its regional operations
Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has obtained a license from the Ministry of Justice to practice law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The development underscores the firm’s commitment to its robust regional functions and collaboration with Alsabhan & Alajaji, a strategic alliance initiated in 2018. The co-operation has, over the years, enabled the two entities to work seamlessly as an integrated team, offering comprehensive legal services across various practice areas to domestic and international clients.
With the foreign law license, Pinsent Masons will operate under the banner of Alsabhan & Alajaji Pinsent Masons. The move further solidifies the firm’s commitment to its clients and aims to strengthen its regional practice and presence.
Meanwhile, Partner Tim Armsby will relocate to Riyadh, and along with Partner Peter Blackmore, he will represent Pinsent Masons’ interests from the firm’s offices in the capital city.
Catherine Workman, the Head of the Middle East for Pinsent Masons, expressed her delight at the long-awaited license. She emphasized the firm’s unwavering commitment to building a robust presence in Saudi Arabia. The grant of the foreign law license allows the firm to continue serving its clients in the Kingdom alongside Alsabhan & Alajaji.
Ibrahim Alajaji, the Managing Partner at Alsabhan & Alajaji, highlighted the significance of the license in supporting Saudi Vision 2030. The firms are committed to aligning their practices with the Kingdom’s ambitious goals, contributing to the development of a thriving legal environment, and supporting economic diversification and societal progress.
Naif Alsabhan, the Founding Partner at Alsabhan & Alajaji, expressed his satisfaction with the long-standing collaboration. He stressed the consistently high-quality projects and expert advice provided to both private and public sectors. He also underlined the firms’ dedication to setting benchmarks in legal services within Saudi Arabia and playing a pivotal role in the dynamic transformation envisioned by the Kingdom.
