Vishnu Shankar joins Morgan Lewis & Bockius as Partner in London
He was earlier the head of legal (regulatory enforcement) at the UK Information Commissioner’s Office
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP has announced the addition of Vishnu Shankar as a Partner in the privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence practice.
He will represent clients in advisory, regulatory enforcement, litigation, and crisis management matters. These involve the European Union and the UK data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, international data transfers, AI, children’s online privacy, and other digital and technology regulatory laws across a range of industries.
On his joining, Shankar remarked, “Following my regulatory enforcement stint at the Information Commissioner’s Office, I am very pleased to return to private practice at Morgan Lewis’s first-rate global privacy, cybersecurity, and AI practice in London.”
A graduate of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, he holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
Shankar spent over a decade in private practice, including as a partner, in London, New York, and Dublin. He focused on technology, data privacy, and cybersecurity laws, and intellectual property transactional matters. Until recently, he was head of legal (regulatory enforcement) at the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
