Trowers & Hamlins Bolsters International Dispute Resolution And Litigation With The Addition Of Nikita Patel As A Partner In Dubai
Global law firm Trowers & Hamlins has appointed Nikita Patel as a Partner in its International Dispute Resolution and Litigation team, located in Dubai.
Nikita brings over a decade of experience in the Middle East, specializing in commercial and contractual disputes. She is qualified in English law and has overseen complex cases across various jurisdictions, including the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana. Her expertise extends to sectors such as Real Estate, Hospitality, and Automotive.
Beyond her litigation work, Nikita has extensive experience in high-value local and international arbitrations, involving key institutions like DIAC, LCIA, and ICC. She also advises on UAE Court matters, including the DIFC Courts, ADGM Courts, and onshore UAE Courts.
Nikita has previously worked at Clyde & Co’s Dubai office, where she was a Legal Director since 2014. Her move to Trowers & Hamlins is expected to bolster the firm's capabilities in managing complex disputes in the Middle East.
Upon her appointment, Nikita expressed enthusiasm about joining Trowers & Hamlins, stating, "I am delighted to be joining Trowers. Trowers has a highly skilled and hugely well-respected Dispute Resolution team across the region and its litigators really are second to none. The disputes and litigation market in the Middle East is incredibly busy for litigators, with work both domestically and cross-border. I cannot think of a better firm to be working with than Trowers as we look to make the most of this exciting and fast-moving marketplace."
International Dispute Resolution and Litigation Head Matthew Showler added, "I am very pleased that Nikita has joined our team. She will be an excellent addition to our busy and talented Dubai office and in particular our Dispute Resolution department. Nikita has an excellent reputation in the marketplace and she will, I am certain, develop that further with us. She is a first rate lawyer with an excellent client base and I very much look forward to having her as a colleague."
