Sidley Strengthens California Global Finance Practice as Cindy Lovering joins as Partner
Global law firm Sidley has announced the appointment of Cindy Lovering as a partner in the firm's California Global Finance practice. Her role will primarily involve representing lenders in fund finance and venture finance transactions. Lovering joins Sidley after her stint at Cooley LLP.
Leveraging her well-established network in banking and financial centres, Lovering has cultivated a remarkable track record in global finance. Her expertise has allowed her to extend Sidley's presence in fund and debt finance into the realm of venture capital. Additionally, her efforts have played a significant role in solidifying the firm's position in the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice, further enhancing its reputation as a go-to destination in this field.
“We are thrilled to have Cindy join the firm as a Global Finance Partner. Her exceptional skills, and industry knowledge in fund finance transactions, including syndicated and bilateral subscription credit facilities, hybrid and net asset value credit facilities, and management company credit facilities will be fully utilised,” said Sharon Flanagan, a member of the firm’s Management and Executive Committees and managing partner of Sidley’s San Francisco office.
“Cindy’s extensive network will leverage our capabilities in providing legal solutions to clients on a global level,” Flanagan added.
Martin Wellington, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and leader of the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice, said: “We are excited to work closely with Cindy to continue delivering innovative results to our clients in an ever-evolving financial landscape,” adding that several of the firm’s partners have worked extensively with Lovering over the years and they are excited to collaborate with her again to expand on the thriving practice we are building.
Sidley's Global Finance group has earned a reputation as a premier destination for intricate, high-value financings encompassing diverse platforms, industries, and asset categories.
