Paul, Weiss adds Ravi Purohit as Partner in Energy And Infrastructure Practice
He is qualified to practice in New York, Illinois, and Texas and works with investment firms and institutional investors across the US
Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP has announced that Ravi Purohit has joined as a Partner in the corporate department and will be the co-head of the infrastructure practice.
One of the foremost lawyers in the energy and infrastructure space, Purohit advises companies, institutional investors, and financial sponsors on mergers and acquisitions, asset sales and dispositions, joint ventures, and other general corporate and financing matters.
Brad S. Karp, the chairman at Paul, Weiss commented, “Purohit has worked with the world’s preeminent private equity firms on their most significant infrastructure investments. His experience and expertise in the energy and infrastructure industries make him a tremendous asset to our firm and our clients.”

Purohit earned his J.D. from Columbia University, where he sits on the Law School’s Board of Visitors, and his B.A. from Emory University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Previously, he served as a Managing Director and Founding Member of the investment team at Blackstone Infrastructure Partners and as managing director at Alinda Capital Partners, an infrastructure investment firm.
Throughout his career as a lawyer and investor, he advised on major private equity and M&A transactions, including several largest infrastructure transactions to date and several first-of-their-kind novel deals.
Qualified to practice in New York, Illinois, and Texas, he works with leading investment firms and institutional investors across the US and globally.
