Ocampo & Suralvo Law Offices Expands With Addition Of Partner Anthony Jacoba
Ocampo & Suralvo Law Offices Expands With Addition Of Partner Anthony Jacoba
Ocampo & Suralvo Law Offices (OS Law) has expanded its service offerings by launching a specialised disputes practice, welcoming Anthony Jacoba as partner and head of its new dispute resolution and insolvency practice group in Manila. Jacoba, an experienced litigation and arbitration specialist, brings over 14 years of expertise to the firm.
Prior to joining OS Law, Jacoba founded Anthony V. Jacoba Law Office in 2020, after spending more than six years as a senior associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan, one of the Philippines' top law firms. The merger of Jacoba’s firm with OS Law allows the latter to broaden its scope, transforming into a full-service firm with enhanced capabilities in commercial litigation, arbitration, and insolvency.
Jacoba's practice includes handling shareholder disputes, white-collar criminal cases, and regulatory investigations. He has also advised on areas such as labor and employment, tax litigation, and corporate internal investigations. Over the years, he has represented clients in sectors ranging from corporate and mining to housing, construction, and real estate. His experience spans litigation before all levels of courts and regulatory agencies, as well as cross-border insolvency and commercial arbitration.
OS Law’s move comes as part of its strategic push to offer clients a wider range of services, particularly in high-value, integrated legal solutions. The firm now has six partners, along with four senior associates, 11 associates, and two special counsels. Additionally, OS Law collaborates with Southeast Asian law firm DFDL, strengthening its regional client service offering.
Jacoba’s arrival is seen as a significant step towards enhancing OS Law’s presence in the dispute resolution space, further solidifying the firm’s position as a leading player in the Philippine legal market.
