Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) has hired Nick Sharratt as a Partner to lead its Dispute Resolution team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He succeeds Paul Stothard following the latter’s relocation to the firm’s office in London, UK.
Sharratt has worked in the Middle East region for over a decade. He focuses primarily on litigation, international arbitration, asset recovery, and multi-jurisdictional enforcement. His client base spans industry sectors including financial institutions, energy and infrastructure, construction, commodities, hospitality, and transport.
Mohammed Paracha, the head of the Middle East at NRF commented, “Sharratt has impressive experience across a wide range of key industry sectors. He will be an invaluable addition to our team and wider regional offering.”
Sharratt has served as a counsel at Winston & Strawn. Until recently, he was working with Stephenson Harwood.
NRF’s Middle East disputes team comprises 16 lawyers including four partners across offices in Dubai and Riyadh. It handles region-spanning disputes from the UAE, with support from its teams in London and Riyadh. In the UAE it is known for its capabilities in corporate investigations and financial crime cases.
Chambers and Partners, which produces international rankings for the legal industry noted that the team is “prominent in an array of contentious matters” throughout the region, advising clients from a range of sectors on regulatory, construction, and petrochemicals cases.
