Leadership Change Announced at Malaysian Law Firm Shearn Delamore as Rodney Gomez Becomes Managing Partner
Leadership Change Announced at Malaysian Law Firm Shearn Delamore as Rodney Gomez Becomes Managing Partner
Malaysian law firm Shearn Delamore & Co has named construction law veteran Rodney Gomez as its new managing partner, taking over from disputes colleague Dhinesh Bhaskaran.
Gomez, a 30-year veteran of the Malaysian Bar and partner at the firm since 2001, brings deep expertise in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of construction law. His broad practice encompasses all forms of dispute resolution, including arbitration, adjudication, conciliation, mediation, and litigation.
Gomez spearheads Shearn Delamore's infrastructure and projects group, where he has advised on a wide range of complex matters, including construction contracts, consultancy agreements, engineering contracts, infrastructure projects, procurement contracts, and project management and implementation. His proven leadership in overseeing legal aspects of large-scale projects makes him a natural choice for the managing partner role.
Shearn Delamore highlighted Gomez's seasoned legal background as a key factor in his appointment, along with his ability to steer the firm towards a successful future. The firm expressed confidence that Gomez will guide Shearn Delamore's continued growth and success in the sectors and markets it serves.
Meanwhile, Dhinesh Bhaskaran remains at the firm, focusing his practice on leading the medico-legal and environmental practices.
