Kyle Knight Elevated to the Position Of General Counsel Upstream at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company
He will report to the Chief Legal Offices Marwan Naim Nijmeh
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC Group) has elevated Kyle Knight to the position of General Counsel upstream.
With over two decades of international legal, management, and operational expertise, Knight has a robust background in oil and gas law. He has demonstrated his capabilities in managing legal and non-legal teams, providing strategic counseling to senior executives, and serving as a trusted advisor.
Knight oversaw corporate and commercial legal affairs for both onshore and offshore operations and contributed to the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures. He advised on upstream oil and gas legislation for the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Before his promotion, he held various high-level positions within ADNOC, including vice president and associate general counsel upstream, where he was a member of the executive director’s management team.
Knight’s legal career began in private practice at Latham & Watkins’ London office, specializing in project development and finance. He transitioned to in-house roles, serving as head of M&A at Tamoil, and Statoil (now Equinor). Thereafter, he moved to DNO ASA, further honing his expertise in the oil and gas sector.
