Korean Law Firm Dentons Lee Bolsters Insurance and Reinsurance Offering with New Hires
Korean Law Firm Dentons Lee Bolsters Insurance and Reinsurance Offering with New Hires
Dentons Lee, a Korean law firm, has formed a new team for insurance and reinsurance by appointing John JungKyum Kim and Christina Jiwon Park as co-heads and senior attorneys. Kim and Park have a combined experience of over 40 years in international legal advocacy and will also play crucial roles in the firm’s global dispute resolution, finance, and corporate teams.
Prior to joining Dentons Lee, Kim was a partner and co-head of the insurance and reinsurance practice group at Shin & Kim for nearly three years. He has also worked as a partner at prominent Korean law firms such as Lee & Ko and Kim & Chang. Kim started his career as an in-house counsel at various insurance companies.
Kim has over 25 years of experience as a lawyer, advising multinational corporations in South Korea and internationally. He is currently the co-chair of the Insurance Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce of Korea, as well as a trustee and executive committee member of the British Chamber of Commerce of Korea.
Park, on the other hand, brings with her over six years of experience as a senior legal counsel at Korean Re, where she specialised in finance, insurance, reinsurance, and dispute resolution.
