Jaime Madell Joins Paul Hastings as partner in New York
He served at Kirkland & Ellis for three years
US law firm Paul Hastings has hired Jaime Madell as a partner specializing in financial derivatives.
A member of the firm's corporate practice in New York, Madell represents insurance companies, private equity funds, hedge funds, and distressed investors. He counsels clients on a variety of industry sectors on transactional matters and federal regulatory rules and focuses on derivatives including credit, crypto, interest rate, and foreign exchange.
Madell was drawn to Paul Hastings on seeing its growth in areas that dovetail with his practice, such as infrastructure, energy, capital markets, and bankruptcy and restructuring.
Before his three years stint at Kirkland & Ellis, he was head of derivatives legal at the global investment and financial advisory services firm Guggenheim Partners.
