Hogan Lovells appoints M&A expert as Partner in Netherlands
The new hire Tom van Duuren has more than 30 years of experience in international corporate and finance law
Hogan Lovells has announced that it has hired attorney Tom van Duuren as a partner to its global M&A practice in Amsterdam. He will be joining the firm's corporate team in the Netherlands and will focus on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and private equity deals.
Tom van Duuren has more than 30 years of experience in international corporate and finance law. His prior experience includes working at CMS Legal Services where his clients spanned across various sectors including automotive, pharmaceutical and manufacturing.
James Doyle, the global head of the corporate and finance practice at Hogan Lovells, has welcomed a new hire, Duuren, to the firm. He stated that Duuren's hire will help to further strengthen the firm's M&A practice in strategic markets.
Van Duuren joined CMS in 2017 and was associated with the British-Canadian firm CMS Legal Services.
Van Duuren has a diverse background in the legal industry. Prior to joining CMS, he had a nine-year tenure at Clifford Chance between 2006-2015.
He also worked at Nineyards Law, a Dutch law firm established by former partners from international firms such as Baker McKenzie and Bird & Bird from 2016 to 2017.
