Hadef & Partners Promotes Four Senior Lawyers To Partner Level
Dubai-based law firm Hadef & Partners has promoted four senior lawyers George Anis, Mohamed Eissa, Marwan Abdel Hamid, and Rami Obeid to the position of Partner, effective January 1, 2025. These promotions underscore the firm’s commitment to fostering legal excellence and enhancing its expertise across key practice areas.
George Anis, a prominent member of the Regulatory and Government Advisory Practice, brings 15 years of experience in government, regulatory, tax advisory, public law, and dispute resolution. Before joining Hadef & Partners, he served as a judge from 2011 to 2022. His work includes advising government and private entities on complex legal and regulatory matters, acting as an arbitrator in contractual and construction disputes, and providing strategic counsel to private-sector clients navigating government determinations.
Mohamed Eissa, a core part of the Dispute Resolution Practice, has over 20 years of experience handling high-stakes litigation in the Middle East. He specializes in disputes involving shipping, aviation, financial crime, commercial, and banking matters. Mohamed previously worked at HFW and Ince & Co before joining Hadef & Partners, where he has represented leading GCC companies and international clients in complex litigation before all levels of the court.
Marwan Abdel Hamid, a key figure in the Corporate Practice, has been with Hadef & Partners since 2013, following his tenure at Baker McKenzie. He is recognized for his expertise in corporate structuring, family wealth planning, regulatory matters, and capital markets, including IPO transactions. Marwan frequently advises on complex reorganizational matters and works closely with both local and expatriate families across the UAE and GCC.
Rami Obeid, a valued member of the Dispute Resolution Practice, joined Hadef & Partners in 2014 after gaining experience at Sayed & Sayed. His practice spans a broad range of commercial litigation, including commercial contracts, real estate, insurance, intellectual property, and debt recovery. He has successfully represented regional and multinational companies in high-value disputes.
Sadiq Jafar, Managing Partner of Hadef & Partners, expressed pride in the promotions, stating: “Our senior team brings unparalleled value to our clients by blending in-depth UAE expertise with international perspectives. We remain committed to fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring the UAE’s best legal talent thrives within our firm. It is with great pride that we announce the promotion of George, Mohamed, Marwan and Rami to Partner level, reflecting their outstanding contributions and dedication to our clients and the firm.”
