Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews Names Michi Kirimi Head of Dispute Resolution Department in Kenya
Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews has named Michi Kirimi as the new Head of the Dispute Resolution Department in Kenya. Michi succeeds the Late Kenneth Fraser SC, who dedicated more than five decades to the legal profession. Fraser breathed his last in July this year.
Kirimi, a distinguished Nairobi-based lawyer, is known for her remarkable contributions in the realm of Dispute Resolution. With an impressive track record spanning more than 20 years, she excels in commercial litigation and arbitration, offering a deep reservoir of insights to her recent appointment. Her extensive expertise encompasses various domains including banking, insurance, employment, intellectual property, and tax law.
Kirimi has been a driving force in pivotal cases that have moulded the legal landscape of Kenya. Her integral role in matters encompassing Kenyan Public Procurement Law, Tax Review, and Constitutional Petitions reflects her resolute dedication to elevating legal standards and championing the rights of her clients. Acknowledged as an authority in dispute resolution, she consistently stands as an advocate for clients in various arenas, including ICC arbitration proceedings, employment disputes, and insurance litigation.
