Dentons Expands Corporate Offering with New Partners in Canada
Dentons Expands Corporate Offering with New Partners in Canada
Dentons, Canada’s global law firm, has announced the expansion of its Corporate practice through the addition of two accomplished partners. Seema Aggarwal joins the Toronto office, while Zaichi Hu becomes part of the Vancouver team. This strategic move further strengthens Dentons’ commitment to delivering exceptional legal services to clients across the corporate landscape.
“We are thrilled for Seema and Zaichi to join our team,” said Kelli Patel, national co-leader of the Corporate group. “Their esteemed reputations align with our dedication to providing innovative advice tailored to our clients' businesses in Canada and around the world. This significant addition further bolsters our existing bench strength across the country.”
Based in Toronto, Seema Aggarwal brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Dentons. Her background in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions will enhance the firm’s capabilities in serving clients’ diverse needs.
She has an impressive track record of guiding clients on a wide range of clients, from start-ups to multinationals, on general corporate and commercial matters, specialising in complex commercial agreements, privacy and anti-spam law. Seema brings considerable experience crafting practical solutions for her clients’ long-term objectives.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Seema to the team,” said Blair McCreadie, Toronto Managing Partner. “Her expertise in a wide variety of complex corporate and commercial matters, particularly in the automotive and technology sectors, enhances our capacity to meet the unique needs of our clients in these industries.”
In Vancouver, Zaichi Hu joins Dentons as a dynamic partner. Her proficiency in corporate governance, securities regulation, and business advisory services aligns perfectly with the firm’s commitment to excellence. Zaichi’s over two decades of understanding of the local market and global business trends will be instrumental in providing strategic counsel to Dentons’ clients.
He brings extensive experience having worked in the past with some of the major global, Canadian and Chinese law firms. Hu guides clients on foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, financings, energy, mining and general corporate matters, besides expertise in drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
John Sandrelli, Vancouver Managing Partner, expressed his excitement about Zaichi’s arrival, stating: “Zaichi’s international practice is a perfect fit with our Firm’s unique platform and entrepreneurial approach to further support our clients who conduct business locally in Vancouver, and beyond.”
