Dentons Bolsters Intellectual Property and Technology Team with Accomplished Patent Litigator Timothy Bickham
Dentons Bolsters Intellectual Property and Technology Team with Accomplished Patent Litigator Timothy Bickham
Dentons has introduced partner Timothy Bickham as a new member of its Intellectual Property and Technology practice in Washington, DC. Leveraging his extensive background in patent law and complex litigation, Bickham assists clients – including numerous international entities venturing into the US market – in safeguarding their intellectual property rights and realising their business goals.
Bickham assumes leadership of Dentons' China IP Litigation team. Previously, he held the position of managing director within the China Intellectual Property and Litigation group, concurrently serving as the managing partner for the Beijing office at his former firm Steptoe & Johnson.
Acknowledged as a reliable counsel for Chinese enterprises, Bickham advocates for them in patent litigation cases before US district courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC). In addition to his extensive work with clients from the US and China, Bickham has cultivated a strong practice, representing Brazilian and European companies in various intellectual property affairs.
Catering to a diverse clientele that includes Fortune 100 enterprises and international entities making their foray into the US market, Bickham skilfully advocates for companies in US competitor litigation and orchestrates global patent enforcement initiatives across a broad spectrum of industries, spanning chemicals, electronics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, software, and telecommunications. Bickham's proficiency extends to spearheading multi-jurisdictional litigation and offering representation in Section 337 claims before the ITC.
"We are thrilled to welcome Tim to our Intellectual Property and Technology practice," said Monica Richman, global chair of Intellectual Property and Technology.
“His impressive experience representing international clients aligns perfectly with our firm's commitment to providing top-tier legal services across jurisdictions. We look forward to the value and leadership he will bring to our team and clients,” Richman added.
