Dentons Appoints Victoria White as Global Compliance Officer
Dentons Appoints Victoria White as Global Compliance Officer
Dentons, the world's largest global law firm, has appointed Victoria White as the Global Compliance Officer. In her new role, she will report directly to John Koski, the Global Chief Legal Officer.
White, a highly experienced General Counsel and Board Member, holds dual qualifications in the United States and the United Kingdom. With her extensive international expertise, she has successfully led and fostered legal, compliance, and corporate affairs teams, while shaping strategies across the EMEA region.
White began her legal career at Dentons Wilde Sapte in the UK before transitioning to in-house roles in various global organisations. Notably, she spent four years as the Head of UK&I Legal at Starbucks and later joined Kraft Heinz in 2014 as the Vice President of Legal & Corporate Affairs for EMEA. In this role, she successfully led a team of legal and compliance professionals responsible for 127 countries.
Throughout her career, White has played a vital role in developing and executing legal, compliance, and corporate affairs strategies within the EMEA region. As the General Counsel for the Dentons UKIME Region, she demonstrated strong leadership by advising on strategic legal, compliance, and risk matters alongside her team.
“In an increasingly complex landscape, robust central compliance counsel is invaluable in ensuring we are operating successfully,” said White.
White expressed her enthusiasm in joining a highly skilled team that offers comprehensive support and makes a meaningful difference to people, clients, and communities worldwide.
“Victoria is a highly engaged leader who promotes excellence and provides real commercial value as a trusted advisor at Senior Management and C-Suite level,” said John Koski, Chief Legal Officer at Dentons.
“We are thrilled to have her join our Firmwide team and know we will benefit greatly from her global experience which has spanned both blue chip in-house roles and private practice,” Koski added.
Elliott Portnoy, Dentons' Global CEO, emphasised the growing significance of a synchronised approach to risk, security, and compliance in today's multi-jurisdictional landscape.
“I am delighted to welcome Victoria to the team; she brings outstanding experience and will add immediate value to the leadership of these areas at Dentons,” Portnoy said.
