Dentons appoints Christopher Tillson in its Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies Practice
He is well-versed in international and domestic commercial transactions
Dentons has announced that Christopher Tillson is the latest Partner to join its venture technology and emerging growth companies practice in Miami.
Tillson assists clients with commercial and transactional work at the intersection of technology, innovation, and energy on a global scale.
Victor Boyajian, the head of Dentons' global venture technology and emerging growth companies practice, remarked, "We are thrilled to welcome Tillson to our venture tech team. He brings a wealth of experience in technology transactions, corporate finance and strategic business transactions, making him an invaluable asset to our clients. His addition to our team comes on the heels of another exceptional Partner, Richard Hayes, who recently joined our practice in New York. Their combined talents and industry knowledge will strengthen our ability to deliver top-tier legal services to our clients and solidify Dentons' position as a leader in the venture technology and emerging growth companies’ space.”
Tillson has advised companies at all stages of growth, from startups to multinational Fortune 500 companies with global operations. He counseled a high-growth venture capital-backed startup during a period of tremendous international expansion, helping it to grow annual revenue from less than US$1 billion to more than US$10 billion.
His experience extends across a diverse range of sectors, including renewable energy, technology, financial services, biotech, telecommunications, manufacturing, distribution, cryptocurrency, and aerospace.
Having expertise in negotiating and documenting hundreds of transactions in over fifty countries across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Tillson is well-versed in international and domestic commercial transactions. He provides guidance to companies in all stages of the global supply chain and, advises on documentation and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements for products and services.
Dentons’ top-ranked global venture technology and emerging growth companies’ group has continued to expand rapidly. Venture-backed and private equity–sponsored emerging growth companies, as well as more mature publicly traded companies, are increasingly turning to Dentons for issues at the intersection of finance, strategic matters, innovation, intellectual property, policy, and regulation on a worldwide basis.
