Daniel Abercromby Joins Gibson Dunn’s Hong Kong Office, Boosting Finance Expertise
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has bolstered its Hong Kong office with the addition of finance specialist Daniel Abercromby, previously a joint leader of the Asia Sponsor Finance practice at White & Case. Abercromby joins Gibson Dunn as a partner in its Global Finance practice.
Abercromby’s practice focuses on representing private equity and credit funds, as well as their portfolio companies, in a range of complex financial transactions. His expertise includes leveraged and acquisition financings, direct lending, and special situations investments across the Asia-Pacific region. Notable clients Abercromby has worked with include Advent International, DigitalBridge, and TPG Capital. His notable transactions include advising Advent on leveraged financings for acquisitions of RA Chem Pharma, Eureka Forbes, and TTK Healthcare's pharma business.
Abercromby's career includes significant roles at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Kirkland & Ellis before his tenure at White & Case. Earlier in his career, he also worked with Allen & Overy and New Zealand firm Mayne Wetherell.
With Abercromby's addition, Gibson Dunn's Hong Kong office now boasts a total of 42 Lawyers, including 13 Partners, further strengthening its Finance Capabilities in the region.
