CMS strengthens Hong Kong office as Conor Warde joins to lead its asset finance practice in Hong Kong
CMS, an Anglo-German firm, has recruited Conor Warde from Mayer Brown to lead its asset finance practice in Hong Kong.
Warde previously led Mayer Brown's shipping finance and maritime transactions team and brings over 20 years of experience advising companies, commercial lenders, and investors on a range of transactional matters.
These include financial and operational leasing, senior and subordinated debt financings, asset-based lending transactions, private equity investment, cross-border M&A, as well as corporate issues such as regulations and policy.
Prior to joining CMS as the head of its asset finance practice in Hong Kong, Conor Warde held several positions at prominent international law firms. In 2017, he joined Mayer Brown from Clyde & Co, where he served as a lawyer. Warde was appointed as the head of the shipping finance and maritime transactions practice at Mayer Brown in 2021.
Before his time at Clyde & Co, he worked as a counsel at the Washington, D.C., and Hong Kong offices of the U.S. law firm Blank Rome.
