Clyde & Co Acted on Informa's Strategic JV Formation with Tahaluf in Saudi Arabia
Clyde & Co Acted on Informa's Strategic JV Formation with Tahaluf in Saudi Arabia
Global law firm Clyde & Co provided expert legal counsel to Informa Middle East Limited (Informa) on the sale of a stake in its Tahaluf Events Limited subsidiary to a consortium comprising the Events Investment Fund (EIF) and Union Company For Exhibitions and Conferences (owned by SAFCSP). This strategic transaction facilitates the formation of a joint venture (JV) aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 economic diversification objectives.
Tahaluf, empowered by Informa's established global infrastructure and expertise, aims to revolutionise the Saudi Arabian events landscape. This ambitious initiative will spearhead economic diversification efforts, unlock exciting opportunities for international businesses, attract significant foreign investment, and drive the modernisation of business activities across the Kingdom. Tahaluf will replace Informa's current Saudi operations, building upon its existing foundation and propelling the sector towards unprecedented growth.
Clyde & Co served as lead counsel to Informa, demonstrating their legal prowess throughout the transaction. The team, spearheaded by Riyadh-based corporate partner Rizwan Osman and senior associate Shahd Makhafah, received invaluable support from associate Fahad Almojel and trainee Alanoud Alassaf, both based in Riyadh.
"We are delighted to act as lead counsel on this significant joint venture, which is focused on stimulating growth in the Kingdom’s key economic sectors through developing world-class events in Saudi Arabia,” Rizwan Osman said.
