Chris Howard and Presley Warner Join Gibson Dunn as Partners in London
Chris Howard and Presley Warner have joined Gibson Dunn as partners in the firm’s Business Restructuring and Reorganization Practice Group in London.
Howard and Warner are highly regarded restructuring and finance lawyers, advising corporations, investment banks, and financial sponsors across Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S. They have worked on some of the most high-profile restructurings in Europe, including Cineworld’s Chapter 11 and U.K. restructuring plan, Annington’s liability management transaction, and Ambatovy’s U.K. restructuring plan. They have also advised on financings for JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs and event-driven financings such as Amgen’s $28 billion acquisition of Horizon Therapeutics.
Howard was previously Head of European Restructuring at another leading U.S. firm. He is ranked Band 1 for Restructuring/Insolvency in the U.K., Europe, and globally by Chambers, and is in the Hall of Fame for Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency in London by Legal 500 U.K.. He earned his LLB from the University of Leeds and an LLM in International Financial Law from the University of Manchester. He is admitted to practice in England and Wales, and in New York.
Warner was previously Head of European Credit and Leveraged Finance at another major U.S. firm. He is ranked as a leading lawyer in Banking & Finance: Big-Ticket work in the U.K. by Chambers UK, Chambers Europe, and Chambers Global. He earned his J.D. from the University of Toronto and is admitted to practice in England and Wales, and in New York.
