Baker McKenzie's Singapore Office appoints M&A Expert Theodore Heng
Baker McKenzie's Singapore Office appoints M&A Expert Theodore Heng
The law firm Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, a constituent of the global law firm Baker McKenzie located in Singapore, has welcomed Theodore Heng, a corporate attorney, into their team as a principal. Theodore Heng joins from Herbert Smith Freehills.
Incorporating Theodore Heng into their team aligns with Bakers' strategy to cater to the increasing need for M&A counsel, as stated by the firm. The ongoing impact of the global energy transition and disruptive technologies, leading to transformative shifts in industries and economies, has spurred a surge in demand for M&A guidance. Boo Bee Chun, the head of the M&A Practice in Singapore, highlighted that the persistently robust levels of private equity activities are anticipated to continue amidst these transformative pressures.
Possessing a wealth of expertise in cross-border transactions, Heng offers guidance to a diverse clientele comprising financial sponsors, multinational corporations, and emerging technology startups. His advisory prowess spans various sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and energy. Notably, Heng specialises in private capital deals that frequently exhibit strong technology connections.
Before his stint at Herbert Smith Freehills in 2022, Heng's professional background includes experience of working at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
