Baker Botts Strengthens Dubai Presence with the Addition of Chad Paslow
Baker Botts, an international law firm with expertise in energy, technology, and life sciences, has announced the addition of Chad Passlow to its Dubai office as Counsel in the Global Projects department. This appointment further strengthens Baker Botts' commitment to providing top-tier legal services in the Middle East.
Passlow brings with him extensive expertise having held the role of Vice President, Legal for the Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading division at ADNOC, a prominent Middle Eastern oil and gas company. With a legal career spanning over 15 years, Passlow has primarily operated in Australia, while also expanding his legal knowledge to the UAE and Singapore.
Passlow will focus on project financing and development in the energy and infrastructure sectors of the Middle East at Baker Botts. He advises clients on a variety of projects, including oil and gas, carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS), energy transition, and renewables such as wind, solar, and hydropower, as well as conventional power and infrastructure projects.
The Baker Botts Dubai office recently hired projects partner Shane Wilson in July, followed by Chad Passlow's appointment as Counsel in the Global Projects department. Baker Botts' Energy practice is renowned for its diverse team of lawyers with complementary skills and experience, enabling the firm to offer clients the full spectrum of legal expertise required for complex and sophisticated energy and infrastructure projects and transactions worldwide.
