Afridi & Angell Promotes Nazim Hashim To Partnership
Afridi & Angell is pleased to announce that Nazim Hashim has been admitted to the partnership.
Nazim leads the UAE court litigation team at Afridi & Angell and has played a key role in restructuring, expanding, and developing the team. He handles a broad range of civil, commercial, and criminal disputes and is responsible for developing litigation strategies and supervising advocacy in matters before the UAE courts.
Nazim has substantial experience in all aspects of civil and criminal litigation, from case intake through to final disposition at trial. He manages a heavy caseload in a busy litigation practice, which includes conducting research and drafting memoranda used to support court pleadings.
Prior to joining Afridi & Angell in 2011, Nazim was an associate at a law firm in Khartoum, where he had rights of audience before all Sudanese courts. He was also a teaching assistant in the Faculty of Law, University of Khartoum.
Commenting on the promotion, Haider Afridi, Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution at Afridi & Angell, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nazim to our partnership. He has demonstrated excellent leadership qualities and has almost single-handedly contributed to the rapid growth of the firm’s UAE court litigation practice. I have no doubt that Nazim will achieve even greater heights in his new role, and wish him the very best of success.”
