Addleshaw Goddard Enhances Singapore Office With Energy Specialist Chanaka Kumarasinghe
UK-based Law Firm Addleshaw Goddard has Appointed Chanaka Kumarasinghe, a specialist in energy disputes, as the new head of its Singapore office. Kumarasinghe joins from HFW, where he spent 22 years of his career, most recently serving as a Partner.
In his new role at Addleshaw Goddard, Kumarasinghe will lead the construction and engineering team as a Partner. He brings extensive experience in advising on energy projects, construction contracts, and disputes within the oil and gas sector across Various Global Regions, including Latin America, North Sea, Asia, and Australia.
Kumarasinghe has a strong track record in negotiating complex agreements involving offshore oil and gas field assets such as rigs and Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. He also has significant expertise in handling contracts related to international windfarm developments and cable-laying projects.

With Kumarasinghe's addition, Addleshaw Goddard's Singapore office now boasts a team of five Lawyers, including three Partners. His appointment underscores the firm’s commitment to expanding its capabilities in Energy Law and enhancing client service across the Asia-Pacific region.
