Trowers & Hamlins Acted on the Successful Refinancing of Merck House with JP Morgan
Trowers & Hamlins Acted on the Successful Refinancing of Merck House with JP Morgan
Trowers & Hamlins, a leading law firm, recently provided legal counsel to a long-standing client through instructions from Morood Investment Company. The focus of their advisory was the refinancing of Merck House, a remarkable commercial property located near the centre of Poole. The transaction involved both finance and real estate aspects, showcasing Trowers’ expertise in these domains.
The successful completion of this refinancing effort was a collaborative achievement, driven by the combined efforts of Trowers & Hamlins’ Banking & Finance and Real Estate teams. These teams negotiated extensive suites of finance and property documents while managing the release mechanics of an outgoing facility.
Despite market volatility, this deal underscores the consistent demand for high-quality prime commercial facilities. Trowers & Hamlins’ dedicated professionals ensured a smooth process throughout.
The Trowers team, led by Eddie O’Hanrahan, included Samer Almaz, Jonjo Parry (Banking), Yassar Jassani, George Dowson, and Sarah Langworthy (Real Estate).
Dentons UK and Middle East LLP provided legal advice to JP Morgan.
Eddie O’Hanrahan expressed his satisfaction, stating, “We are delighted to have assisted with the successful refinancing of this property, and we extend our sincere appreciation to the Morood team for their collaboration and trust throughout.”
Karen Al Bakkar, representing Morood Investment Company, added, "We’d like to thank Trowers & Hamlins for their diligent and professional support throughout the transaction. The teams' efforts, both on the financing and real estate aspects of this deal, were greatly appreciated."
