Top South Korean Firms Advised On $640 Million Korean Real Estate Deal
Top South Korean Law Firms Bae, Kim & Lee and Yoon & Yang have provided legal counsel for both parties in the $640 million acquisition of Donuimun D Tower in central Seoul. NH Nonghyup REITs Management acquired the property from Mastern Asset Management, making it the second-largest commercial real estate transaction in South Korea this year, following the $746 million sale of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's headquarters.
The transaction was completed on November 20, after NH REITs was selected as the preferred bidder in July. Yoon & Yang represented the buyer, with a team led by Partners Young Woo Park, Jae Ryun Cho, and Eun Chul Choi, along with Associates Hyeji Shin, Yea Eun Hwang, and Kyu Min Lee.
On the seller’s side, Bae, Kim & Lee's Real Estate team was led by Partner Chiyoung Song and Associate Jaehwa Park.
