International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised Prime Sustainable Infrastructure Debt Fund on financing of around €11m.
The mezzanine financing will support the late-stage development of an 80 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Brandenburg, Germany. It is being established by a German developer, supported by financial advisor Capcora.
The project is set to commence construction in the second quarter of this year and is targeted for commercial operations by April 2025.
It is the third time in six months that Simmons & Simmons has supported Prime on the financing of major PV projects.
Commenting on the deal, Dr. Jens Gölz and Dr. Felix Biedermann, the partners at Simmons & Simmons remarked, “Our involvement in the transaction underscores the firm's dedication to facilitating sustainable development and its expertise in navigating the intricacies of environmental finance. The financing was led by partners Dr. Felix Biedermann and Dr. Jens Gölz. They were supported by associates Robin Pichler and Isabel Ribeiro Mousinho.
