Reed Smith counsels Wind Point Partners on acquisition of Assisi Pet Care Group

The dynamic international law firm Reed Smith has announced that it has advised Wind Point Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, on its acquisition of Assisi Pet Care Group Limited, a leading producer of premium and natural dog and cat foods and treats.
Wind Point is a long-time investor in the pet and animal nutrition industry. Its major prior and current investments include Targeted PetCare, FoodScience, Petmate, and Pestell Nutrition.
With its headquarters in Melton Mowbray, United Kingdom, Assisi sells its products in the UK and across Europe. The company’s two natural treat production facilities are based in Poland.
Offering a broad array of branded and private label products, Assisi is a key partner to leading customers across the grocery, e-commerce, and pet specialty channels.
