Norton Rose Fulbright Advised UOB Kay Hian On Metasurface Technologies' Listing on Hong Kong GEM Board
Norton Rose Fulbright Advised UOB Kay Hian On Metasurface Technologies' Listing on Hong Kong GEM Board
Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has provided legal counsel to UOB Kay Hian on its exclusive sponsorship of Metasurface Technologies' listing on the GEM Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).
Metasurface Technologies, headquartered in Singapore, specializes in build-to-print precision engineering services, focusing on complex machining and welding for international clients in the semiconductor and other sectors. It ranked fifth in revenue from the semiconductor segment of Singapore's precision component engineering industry in 2023.
The IPO of Metasurface Technologies is the second successful listing under the new Hong Kong GEM reforms introduced on January 1, 2024.
Norton Rose Fulbright's team was led by Partners Winnie Chan and Harold Tin, Included Senior Associates Tracy Ding and Jane Yau, as well as Associate Michelle Leung.
Winnie Chan noted, “We supported the team at UOB Kay Hian throughout the sole sponsorship of Matasurface Technologies and worked in conjunction with multiple cross border teams in advising Metasurface Technologies to achieve a result that all parties were happy with. HKEX’s GEM Board offers businesses of small to medium size the opportunity to list and - with reforms having taken effect from 1st January 2024 - it is expected that the GEM Board will see an increase in applications, as it poses an attractive offering to high-growth companies and SMEs.”
