MoFo Assisted eTelligent in Securing Strategic Investment from IMB Partners
Morrison Foerster (MoFo) provided advisory services to eTelligent Group (eTel) concerning a strategic investment from IMB Partners (IMB).
IMB is a prominent middle-market private equity firm with expertise in utility, industrial, and Government Contracting Services (GovCon).
The announcement of IMB's strategic investment in eTel, a leading provider of emerging technologies and program management solutions to the US Government, was made on July 26.
Established in 2005, eTel has been at the forefront of spearheading enterprise-wide transformations for vital business systems through adept management of emerging technology implementation and engineering. The company's focus lies in providing digital transformation services, primarily catering to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Their extensive capabilities include agile software development, DevSecOps, IT Program Management Office (PMO) services, cybersecurity, web services, and big data solutions.
As a result of their innovative approach, eTel has emerged as a leading thought leader and solutions evangelist for the IRS. Presently, they hold the distinction of being the second-most active prime contractor on the IRS IT-EPMSS BPA contract vehicle.
The advisory team from MoFo that assisted eTel was spearheaded by Washington, D.C., Partner Damien Specht and Denver Partner Tyler Sewell. They were supported by associate Kelly Kan from Los Angeles and associate Emily Voytas from San Francisco.
In addition, the broader team involved in the advisory comprised various other experts from different locations and practice areas within the firm. The team included Washington, D.C., labour Partner Andrew Turnbull, New York tax Partner Dave Sturgeon, Boston privacy Partner Julie O’Neill, New York securities litigation Partner Michal Birnbaum, and Phoenix executive compensation of counsel Bucky Swift.
Furthermore, the team featured Associates David Papas, Lauren Keller, Arton Falahati, Wendy Chu, John O’Neill, Annalisa Cooper, Nicole Giles, William Lane, Locke Bell, Eric Gebert, Alissandra McCann, and Markus Speidel.
