Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy Advised TSFE Infrastructure on Landmark Green Fuel Project In Agreement with C2X
The agreement was signed in the presence of the Egyptian PM, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Minister of Planning and Economic Development
Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy (MBH) has advised the TSFE Infrastructure & Utilities Sub-Fund on behalf of the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA), the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), and Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority (SCZONE), in negotiating a framework agreement with C2X Technologies, a subsidiary of A.P. Møller Holding and A.P. Møller – Maersk, to develop a green fuel project in Egypt.
The venture will involve the construction of renewable energy power plants, green hydrogen/green methanol manufacturing units, and other related facilities. It aims to support Egypt’s transition to a low-carbon economy and enhance its energy security and diversification.
The framework agreement was signed in the presence of the Egyptian Prime Minister, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Minister of Planning and Economic Development at the New Administrative Capital.
MBH has extensive experience and expertise in the renewable energy sector, having advised on several landmark projects in Egypt and the region.
