Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy Advised Tasaheel On EGP 5.050 Billion Securitization Transaction
Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy (MBH) acted as legal counsel to Tasaheel in a landmark EGP 5.050 billion securitization transaction, marking the first issuance under Tasaheel’s twelfth securitization program, which amounts to a total of EGP 20 billion. This transaction stands as the largest of its kind in the region, underscoring the growing confidence in the microfinance industry and Tasaheel’s pivotal role within it.
The MBH team advising on the transaction was led by Partner and Head of Capital Markets Mohamed Abdel Fattah, and Partner Imane Raouf.
The team also included Senior Associates Khaled Abd-Elwahab and Esraa Mohamed, along with Associates Abdelrheem Ashraf and Habiba El Naggar.
Other key players involved in the transaction include Al Ahly Pharos as the financial advisor, Russel Bedford as the auditor, Capital Securitization Company as the securitization company, and Middle East Rating & Investors Service (MERIS) as the rating agency.
