Linklaters Advised Abraj Energy Services on Groundbreaking IPO in Oman
Abraj Energy Services SAOG, Oman’s biggest onshore drilling services provider, received counsel on its recent IPO from Linklaters, along with advisory services to several entities within the OQ group, subsidiaries of the Oman Investment Authority, as they acted as selling shareholders in the transaction.
Abraj Energy Services SAOG's recent IPO is Oman's largest since 2010 and the first asset to be taken public under the Omani government's newly announced asset divestment framework. The IPO received strong demand, with the offering price set at the top of the price range and both the institutional and retail tranches being oversubscribed by more than 21 and eight times, respectively.
Jason Manketo, partner and global co-head of Linklaters' Equities practice, along with managing associate Scott James and associate Lara Townzen, spearheaded the team.
