Latham & Watkins acted for Novo Holdings on €25 Million Extended Series C Funding for AMSilk
Latham & Watkins acted for Novo Holdings on €25 Million Extended Series C Funding for AMSilk
Law firm Latham & Watkins has provided legal advice to Novo Holdings A/S (Novo) on a €25 million extended Series C financing for AMSilk GmbH (AMSilk), the world’s first industrial supplier of bio-fabricated silk protein materials.
Alongside existing investors, ATHOS (AT Newtec) and MIG Capital, Novo will invest in AMSilk, with the financing aimed at supporting the acceleration of industrial scale and expansion of commercial operations of bio-engineered silk protein materials.
Latham & Watkins has been a regular legal advisor to Novo Holdings A/S in the past and has previously assisted the company on several investments, including its first investment in AMSilk two years ago.
The latest Series C financing round for AMSilk GmbH has now been extended from €29 million to €54 million.
Leading the team at Latham & Watkins was partner Henning C. Schneider, based in Hamburg. Joining him were partner Dirk Kocher and associate Katarina Fröschle.
