DLA Piper acted in BVP Forge's Investments in Software Companies Radformation and Parsec
DLA Piper provided legal counsel to BVP Forge on their recent investment in Parsec Automation Corp (Parsec), a company specialising in Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) software. The investment by BVP Forge is intended to facilitate Parsec's platform expansion, accelerate its growth, and enhance its ability to make a significant impact on customers.
DLA Piper further guided BVP Forge in their strategic investment in Radformation, a renowned leader in cancer care clinical and operational software solutions.
BVP Forge is set to utilize their business-building program, ForgeEdge™, to provide support to Radformation in achieving various objectives. The program aims to aid Radformation in expanding its customer growth engine, diversifying its product portfolio to encompass a broader range of cancer care workflows, extending its global presence, and exploring new market segments.
“We were incredibly excited to bring cross-category experience to the table and support BVP Forge in these strategic investments,” said Eric Grossman, vice chair of the firm’s private equity group and the DLA Piper partner who led the deal team.
“We look forward to continuing to guide our clients through industry-leading transactions aimed at the integration of technology and patient care,” Grossman added.
Apart from Grossman, the team consisted of several other key members from various locations. The partners included Bethany Hills from New York, Betsy Burkhard from Boston, Julia Kovacs from Washington D.C., and Matt Servies from Atlanta. Additionally, of counsel Melissa Sampson from Washington D.C., played a significant role, along with associates Darren Kerstien from Seattle and Melissa Lucar from Los Angeles.
DLA Piper's Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice boasts a strong team of over 200 lawyers dedicated to offering strategic counsel to emerging companies in rapidly growing sectors such as technology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals & biotechnology, financial services, manufacturing, and communications.
