Clifford Chance Advised Unilever On $72 Million Sale Of Pureit To A. O. Smith
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Unilever on the sale of its water purification business, Pureit, to A. O. Smith, a leading global water technology company. Pureit offers a range of water purification solutions across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Mexico, among others.
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has approved the sale of its water purification business to AO Smith India for an Enterprise Value of Rs 601 crore ($72 million). This move will allow HUL to focus more on its core categories.
The multidisciplinary team at Clifford Chance, led by Corporate Partners Melissa Fogarty and Alanna Hunter in London, included Senior Associate Dan Bomsztyk, Associates Lewin Lim, Hephzibah Adeosun, Katie Buckton, Alex Szlezinger, and Trainee Lucrezia de Jorio.
