Baker Botts Advised Malaz Capital in Saudi Healthcare Equity Stake Acquisition
Baker Botts Advised Malaz Capital in Saudi Healthcare Equity Stake Acquisition
The international law firm Baker Botts L.L.P., in association with the Office of Mohanned bin Saud Al-Rasheed, successfully advised Malaz Capital, a prominent Saudi Arabian investment management company, in its acquisition of an equity stake in Ram Medical Clinics Company.
Malaz Capital, specialising in private equity and real estate, made the investment through its Malaz Saudi Healthcare Opportunities Fund, a dedicated fund established and licensed by the Saudi Capital Market Authority. This strategic acquisition aligns with Malaz Capital's focus on fostering growth in key sectors and contributes to the advancement of healthcare in the Kingdom.
Ram Medical Clinics, a renowned player in Saudi Arabia's healthcare landscape, operates a chain of clinics specialising in dentistry and dermatology.
The Baker Botts team, led by Riyadh partners Omar Iqbal and Shadi Haroon, provided comprehensive legal counsel to Malaz Capital throughout the acquisition process. The team, supported by senior associate Rakan Alyusuf and associates Nabeel Sarwar, Adam Ismail, and Hessa Alaqeel, ensured a smooth and successful transaction.
