Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Thirteen Names for Appointment as Judges of Bombay High Court
The Supreme Court Collegium meeting took place on 19 March 2021 and it has recommended the names of nine lawyers and four judicial officers for appointment as Judges of Bombay High Court.
The three-judge Supreme Court Collegium, comprising of Chief Justice Bobde and Justices N V Ramana and R F Nariman held a meeting and recommended the appointment of nine advocates and four names of the judicial officers as Judges of the High Court of Bombay.
The names of advocates and judicial officers recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium include the following names-

3. Kamal R Khata
4. Sharmila U Deshmukh,
5. Amira Abdul Razaq
6. Sandeep V Marne
7. Sandeep H Parikh
8. Somasekhar Sundaresan
9. Mahendra M Nerlikar

2. Sanjay G Mehare
3. GA Sanap and
4. SG Dige
The sanctioned strength of Judges at the Bombay High Court is 94 and is currently functioning with 62 Judges. Approx. 30 seats of Judges are lying vacant in the High Court.
