Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta Elevated to Acting Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court

In an official notification issued on Monday, the Central government announced the appointment of Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta as the Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, effective November 22, 2023.

Justice Gupta will assume the responsibilities of Chief Justice following the retirement of Justice Pritinker Diwaker on November 21.

Admitted to the Bar Council in 1987, Justice Gupta was born in 1964. His legal practice focused on civil, rent control, and Constitutional law.

Subsequently appointed as an additional judge of the Allahabad High Court on April 12, 2013, Justice Gupta was sworn in as a permanent judge on April 10, 2015.
